DeWalt Black Friday deals tend to center on kits: a drill and impact driver set like the DCK240C2 on the 20V MAX line, and larger batteries or bundles on the FlexVolt side. The deal worth taking is the one with the battery size, motor type and tool count you need, not the lowest sticker price.
Black Friday is November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is November 30. Stores set their own prices, and we have not seen any publish this year’s DeWalt sales yet, so this page covers what to compare.
Which DeWalt Black Friday deals are worth it this year
We fill this section in during deal week, with prices we have checked on store pages. DeWalt’s own site shows specs, but it does not list prices on the pages we read, so we will not quote any until a store page shows one. Here are the DeWalt items the sales are most likely to touch, with what dewalt.com says about each.
| Model | What it is | Battery | Brushless? | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DCK240C2 | Drill/driver (DCD771) and impact driver (DCF885) kit | Two 20V MAX 1.3 Ah | Page does not say | Shelves, cabinets, light repairs |
| DCD1007WW1 | 20V MAX XR 1/2-inch 3-speed hammer drill | One 8 Ah (DCB2108) | Yes, per dewalt.com | Heavy drilling, long days |
| DCB2108 | 20V MAX XR battery, bare | 8.0 Ah | Not applicable | Owners who need more runtime |
| DCB606 | FlexVolt battery | 6 Ah | Not applicable | Owners of both 20V MAX and 60V tools |
| DCCS674X2 | 60V MAX 14-inch top handle chainsaw kit | Two FlexVolt DCB609 | Page does not say | Limb cleanup and farm cutting |
Read the table as a map, not a price list. If a store features one of these, you will know what to compare it to.
20V MAX vs FlexVolt: what is the difference?
These are two battery systems from the same maker. The 20V MAX line covers most drills, drivers, saws and blowers. The 60V MAX line, which uses FlexVolt batteries, is aimed at bigger tools like larger saws.
One key fact is on the DCB606 page. DeWalt says that battery switches voltage on its own when you move it between tools. It lists 20V MAX, 60V MAX and 120V MAX compatibility. For 120V MAX, you combine two 60V batteries. DeWalt also claims about four times the runtime of its 1.5 Ah DCB201 battery on 20V MAX tools.
That makes a FlexVolt battery useful if you own both kinds of tools. If you only own 20V MAX tools, check the tool listing before you buy a battery. Always read which batteries a tool takes before you assume a battery fits.
I spent summers on a Midwest farm, and I have run plenty of cordless drills and saws since. In my experience, one big battery that fits many tools beats three small ones that fit one each.
DeWalt Black Friday deals on kits: what to expect
Kits are the usual way tool sales are built. Stores package a drill, a driver, batteries and a charger, then price the bundle. DeWalt’s DCK240C2 is one example. It includes two small 1.3 Ah batteries, which means it is built for light work. The kit comes with a 3-year limited warranty, one year of free service and a 90-day satisfaction guarantee, according to dewalt.com.
The deal patterns you are likely to see:
- Combo kits: two or more tools with batteries and a charger.
- Battery bundles: a larger battery, or two, sold with a charger or a bare tool.
- Free bare tool: a tool with no battery, added when you buy a kit or battery.
- Bare tools alone: a price cut that only helps if you own batteries.
We cannot say which of these a given store will run. What we can say is how to compare them. A free bare tool is only free if you wanted it. Small batteries explain why some kits look cheap. Likewise, a bare tool is a good deal only when the battery you own fits it.
What to compare before you buy a DeWalt kit
Start with the full model number. DeWalt model numbers carry clues. A “B” at the end usually marks a bare tool, while something like “D2” usually means batteries are included. Confirm this on the listing, because the pattern is not a rule. Some stores also list a kit under a number that only they carry. If the number does not match the one on dewalt.com, find out what is different.
Then compare these points:
- Tools in the box. Count the tools you will really use.
- Battery size. More amp-hours means longer runtime, but also a heavier, pricier battery.
- Motor type. The listing should say brushless if it is. If it says nothing, assume it is not.
- Charger and bag. Check that both are in the box.
- Warranty and return window. Read both for the store you are buying from.
Brushless motors and battery size
Brushless motors usually run cooler and last longer under heavy use. For a drill you use every week, they are worth looking for. For a drill that comes out twice a year, a basic motor is fine.
Battery size works in a similar way. A small battery like the 1.3 Ah in the DCK240C2 is light, which is nice for overhead work. A large one like the 8 Ah DCB2108 runs longer but weighs more. So match the battery to the job. A deck needs more runtime than a picture frame.
If you want to see how these kits compare against other brands, read our drill combo kit guide. For a closer look at one drill, we also have a DeWalt 20V MAX drill review.
Which DeWalt setup fits which job?
Think about the work, not the box. For hanging shelves, building a bookcase or fixing a fence gate, a small kit like the DCK240C2 is plenty. The batteries are light, and the job is short.
For a deck, a barn repair or a day of hard drilling, step up to bigger batteries. The 8 Ah DCB2108 and the hammer drill kit that includes an 8 Ah battery are built for longer runs. For cutting limbs or firewood, look at the 60V MAX line, where the DCCS674X2 chainsaw kit sits.
Most homeowners will be happiest with one mid-size kit and one spare battery. That is more useful than a giant bag of tools you never open. Because tools tend to be borrowed in families and on farms, it also helps if the brand matches what your neighbors use.
Where to find DeWalt Black Friday deals
DeWalt tools are carried by many retailers, so look at more than one store. Big home-improvement chains, hardware stores and online sellers all carry them. Each sets its own price and its own dates.
At the time of writing we have not confirmed any early-access window from a store, so we do not name one. When a store posts its dates on its own site, trust that page. Then compare the final price at two or three places, and check the return window at each.
A price tracker helps. Camelcamelcamel and Keepa show how an item’s price has moved on Amazon. For store-only models, they may not have any data, so use extra care.
When to wait on DeWalt deals
Sometimes waiting wins. Cyber Monday can bring a second round of offers. Stores also run tool sales in the new year and in spring. And when DeWalt replaces a model, the older one can get cheaper. None of this is guaranteed.
Do not wait if a project is stuck without the tool, or if you have already picked your model and the price is low. Wait if the deal is a bundle with tools you do not need. Our guides to cordless circular saws and cordless chainsaws show what else runs on common battery platforms, which helps you judge a bundle.
Frequently asked questions about DeWalt Black Friday deals
Does DeWalt have Black Friday deals every year?
Stores that carry DeWalt tend to feature them, but we cannot promise any specific deal. Retailers set the prices, and we have not seen this year’s offers announced yet. Check each store’s page in the week before Black Friday.
Are DeWalt Black Friday deals on FlexVolt worth it?
They are if you own tools that use FlexVolt batteries. The DCB606 works with 20V MAX and 60V MAX tools, per DeWalt, so it can serve both. If you only own small 20V MAX tools, a standard battery may be all you need.
Will 20V MAX batteries fit FlexVolt tools?
Check the tool listing for the batteries it takes. DeWalt lists the FlexVolt DCB606 as working on 20V MAX tools, but the reverse is not something we found listed. Do not assume a 20V MAX battery runs a 60V tool.
Is a DeWalt kit better than a bare tool?
A kit is better if you own no DeWalt batteries. A bare tool is better if you already own batteries that fit it. Buying a bare tool with no battery to start with is a poor deal.
