Milwaukee Black Friday deals are easiest to judge once you know which battery line you want. The M18 FUEL 2-tool combo kit 3697-22 is the heavy-duty pick. The M12 FUEL kit 3497-22 suits smaller jobs. Compare the batteries and motors in each box before you look at any price.

Which Milwaukee Black Friday Deals Are Worth It This Year?

Black Friday falls on November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday on November 30, 2026. I could not find a sales date on any Milwaukee page I read, so retailers will set the timing. Until a store posts its list, no one can name a real discount.

So here is what to look for. A kit with two batteries and a charger is worth more than the bare tools inside it. A free bare tool is fine if it is one you would buy anyway. And a deal on the line you do not own can cost you a second set of batteries.

I spent summers on a Midwest farm, where a stuck bolt or a loose fence rail could eat an afternoon. I have used cordless drills and impact drivers for years since, and one thing stays true. The size of the battery decides how long you can keep working.

Most of us buy a tool for one job and then find ten more for it. That is why the line you pick matters more than the tool. Watch this section in deal week. Offers that are live on a retailer’s own page get added here after they are checked.

The Kits Worth Watching For

These three kits come from milwaukeetool.com, read in late October. None of the pages show a price. I cannot say which will be discounted, only what is in each box.

All three come with a charger. The two M18 kits list a multi-voltage charger for both M18 and M12 packs. The M12 kit lists an M12 charger. Milwaukee’s page for 2691-22 also has a few inconsistencies, such as two different impact driver numbers, so check that the box matches the number before you pay.

M12 or M18: Which Milwaukee Platform Should You Buy?

M12 is the small line and M18 is the large one. Milwaukee’s M12 pack page says the 4.0 Ah XC pack powers most M12 tools. Its M18 pack page says the 5.0 Ah XC pack powers more than 60 M18 tools. So M18 has the bigger packs and the longer tool list.

Size is the trade-off. Milwaukee says the M12 FUEL impact driver is only 5 inches long with the 2.0 Ah pack on it. The page calls the M12 FUEL drill the most compact in its class. That helps when you work overhead or inside a cabinet.

Here is how I would split it for a farm or a house:

  • Pick M12 if most of your work is shelves, light fixtures, small repairs and tight spaces.
  • Pick M18 if you build decks, fences or sheds, or you expect to add a saw, a grinder or a blower.
  • Pick M18 first if you can only own one line. It has more tools to grow into.

Anyone who has fought a drill in a tight spot knows small is a real gain. Anyone who has run a saw on a weak pack knows the opposite. Think about which complaint you would hate more.

Milwaukee Black Friday Deals and Battery Size

Battery size is the number that moves the price of a kit. Amp-hours, or Ah, tell you how long a pack runs. A 5.0 Ah pack runs longer than a 1.5 Ah pack on the same tool. A bigger pack also weighs more, so a long day of overhead work feels different.

Compare 3697-22 with 2691-22. Both are M18 kits with two packs. The first has 5.0 Ah packs and FUEL tools. The second has 1.5 Ah compact packs. For hanging a shelf, either will do. For a day of deck screws, the bigger packs will save you a lot of swaps.

Look at the mix in the M12 kit too. It has one 4.0 Ah pack and one 2.0 Ah pack. That is fine for a mix of small jobs, but it means you do not get two identical packs.

Brushless or Not: What the FUEL Label Means on a Kit

FUEL is a label on some Milwaukee kits. On the kit pages I read, the FUEL drills are described with a POWERSTATE brushless motor. Brushless is the newer motor design, so it is worth checking for.

Standard kits can still do the job, but they may not be brushless. For example, the 2691-22 page does not use that word at all. That does not make it a bad kit. It means you should not assume the feature is there.

Do not trust the tile on a store’s site to tell you the motor type. Open the maker’s page for the model number. If a store lists a kit under a number you cannot find on Milwaukee’s site, ask what is different before you buy.

Milwaukee Black Friday Deals: Price Checks Before You Buy

You can test a deal without any special tools. First, write down the kit’s model number and today’s price at two stores. Then watch the number for a week. A deal is only a deal if it drops below where it sat before.

Next, use a price history site. CamelCamelCamel and Keepa track Amazon prices. If the kit is sold there, they show whether it often sits at a price or only dips for a day.

Third, read the store’s price-match and return terms on its own site. Dates and fine print come from the store, so I am not quoting any here. Last, check the model number against Milwaukee’s page, since stores sometimes sell versions under their own numbers.

Which Milwaukee Kit Fits a Farm or a Home?

Start with the work you did last year, not the work you hope to do. A list of real jobs beats a wish list. If you fixed a gate, built a shelf and swapped a few fixtures, a small kit covers it.

For repairs on a farm or a big property, bigger packs earn their cost. Fence work, barn doors and deck boards all take long runs of screws. A second pack saves the walk back to the charger. Cold weather also shortens how long a pack lasts, so keep spares indoors until you need them.

For a house or apartment, smaller is fine. Shelves, curtain rods and furniture do not need a 5.0 Ah pack. A compact kit is lighter in the hand, and you will not notice the shorter run time. If you later add a saw, you can buy one bigger pack then.

Also think about who else will use the tools. A lighter M12 drill is easier for a smaller hand or a tired arm. That counts for more than most spec sheets admit.

When to Wait Instead of Buying on Black Friday

If the kit is on a line you do not own and cannot return, wait. If a deal is only a little under the usual price, wait. Some kits repeat on Cyber Monday, and some do not, so you can gamble three days when you are not in a rush.

January is another window worth watching. And if Milwaukee updates a battery or a tool, older kits sometimes go on sale. But that depends on the maker, so check Milwaukee’s page for a newer kit first.

Frequently Asked Questions About Milwaukee Black Friday Deals

When Do Milwaukee Black Friday Deals Start?

Nobody has confirmed a start date on any Milwaukee page I read. Black Friday is November 27, 2026, and stores set their own early-access windows. Check each store’s own page in the week before.

Is M18 or M12 Better for Milwaukee Black Friday Deals?

M18 is better if you want bigger packs and a longer tool list. M12 is better if you want small, light tools. Pick by the jobs you do most, not by which kit looks cheaper.

Is a FUEL Kit Worth It in Milwaukee Black Friday Deals?

A FUEL kit is worth it if you use the tools often, since the pages I read describe brushless motors in the FUEL drills. For a few jobs a year, a standard kit can do the work. Check the motor type on Milwaukee’s page.

Do Milwaukee M12 and M18 Batteries Swap?

Each battery page names the line it powers, so treat them as separate. The M18 kits I read include a charger that works for both lines. Check the tool’s page before you move a pack between tools.
